How to create exterior lighting in night time with v-ray’s sun and sky system

Chaos Group presents an exclusive video tutorial that shows in detail how to transform a day time render into night time shot quickly with the use of V-ray’s sun and sky systems.

The VRaySun and VRaySky are considered as the special features provided by the V-Ray renderer to perfectly demonstrate the sun and sky for easy reaction. These are created to work simultaneously for reproducing the real-life Sun and Sky environment of the Earth by reacting to the angle and direction of the sun. Both are coded so that they change their appearance depending on the direction of the VRaySun.
With the purpose of accessing the sun location, Click "Windows" from the main menu, choose "Model Info", then choose "Location". to opt for a location of the sun. The time and the day should be perfectly controlled in the "Shadow Setting".
The VRaySky texture map is normally applied as an environment map to facilitate simulating outdoor lighting. The texture can modify its appearance depending on the location of the VRaySun, that is usually employed together with the V-Ray Sun and Sky System.
To apply the sun perfectly, it is essential to use it along with the Physical Camera. The Sun itself is enormously bright, and to keep the characteristics of the model, the sun should be retained nearly to its proper intensity.
To prevent the extreme brightness of the sun it is necessary to generate a perfect exposure of a scene with the physical camera. The physical camera can also allow to detain the exact colors of the sky efficiently.
